Founder
Mao Dagdag is the founder and managing director of Vakana. For the past 10 years, he was the CEO of a major agribusiness conglomerate in Africa, supervising the creation of 3 subsidiaries in West Africa owing to his powerful network of African decision-makers, generating double-digit revenue growth. He is currently a senior advisor of several European and Middle Eastern entities on business development in Africa. He also advises several African governments on attracting investment.
Co-founder
Eric Rakoto-Andriantsilavo is the co-founder of Vakana. For the past 16 years, he has been the Executive Director and National Coordinator of the Integrated Growth Poles project, managing over USD 400 million from the World Bank and the OPEC Fund. Recipient of the World Bank Regional Excellence Award, his leadership in agribusiness, ecotourism, infrastructure, access to energy and water, youth and women's entrepreneurship, has benefitted millions of people in Madagascar.
